Terms of Service

mira (“mira”, “we”, “us”) is an independently operated Discord application and its companion website at mira.party. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

Your use of Discord itself remains governed by Discord’s own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Nothing here overrides them, and where they conflict with these terms, Discord’s terms take precedence.

You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement for your country to use mira. If you are not old enough to hold a Discord account, you may not use our service. Server administrators are responsible for ensuring their communities meet the same requirement.

mira is provided free of charge. We do not sell subscriptions, feature unlocks, or virtual currency, and we do not accept payment for access to any part of the service.

You agree not to:

• Use mira to break Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy.
• Use mira to harass, threaten, dox, defame, or target any person or group.
• Automate, script, or otherwise abuse commands to place disproportionate load on our infrastructure, or attempt to circumvent rate limits and cooldowns.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to mira's systems, database, or internal APIs.
• Use mira to distribute malware, phishing links, spam, or content you do not have the right to distribute.
• Misrepresent mira as your own application, or resell access to it.

We may restrict or terminate access for any user, server, or server owner that breaks these rules, at our discretion and without prior notice.

Adding mira to a server is a decision made on behalf of everyone in it. If you invite mira or configure it, you are responsible for:

• Choosing which features to enable and which channels they apply to.
• The permissions you grant mira, and the consequences of moderation actions taken through it.
• Making your members aware that an application with the features you have enabled is operating in the server.
• Any content your members submit through mira's features, including confessions, tickets, tags, and custom responses.

Most features are disabled by default and must be explicitly turned on. Configuration is per-server, and members with the relevant Discord permissions can disable any feature at any time.

Balances are scoped to a single server and may be reset, adjusted, or removed at any time, including by server administrators or during maintenance. We provide no guarantee that any balance, item, or statistic will persist, and no compensation is owed if one is lost.

Some features retrieve information from services outside Discord — for example public social platform posts and public profile lookups. That content belongs to its respective owners, and your use of it is subject to the terms of the platform it came from.

We do not control, verify, or endorse third-party content surfaced through mira, and we are not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or availability. A feature may be changed or removed at any time if an upstream service becomes unavailable or changes its terms.

Where a feature asks you to connect an external account, you may disconnect it at any time, and doing so removes the associated link from our systems.

Certain optional features let you supply credentials belonging to you — for example a bot token for a custom instance. Where you do this, you confirm that the credential is yours to provide and that using it through mira does not breach any agreement you have with the issuing platform.

Credentials are stored encrypted and used only to operate the feature you enabled. You may revoke them at any time, and we recommend rotating any credential you no longer wish us to hold.

mira is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise uptime, uninterrupted service, or that any particular feature will continue to exist.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and may perform maintenance that interrupts service. Where a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to announce it in our support server.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of mira — including loss of data, loss of server configuration, loss of virtual balances, damage to a community, or actions taken by moderators using our tools.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

You may stop using mira at any time by removing it from your server. We may suspend or terminate access to mira, in whole or in part, for any user or server that breaches these terms or whose use puts the service or its users at risk.

When mira is removed from a server, the data associated with that server is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as mira evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in our support server. Continuing to use mira after a change means you accept the updated terms.
